No, you do not need to sign up for an account to enjoy photos or upload your own photos to WeLoveBC.ca. However, if you wish to manage or share your photos, you will need to signup for an account. After you have signed up for an account, you will be able to manage your photos and share them with the rest of the world. You will also become eligible for our Celebrate BC150 Photo Contest and win great prizes.

Within your WeLoveBC.ca Member Area is a Flash photo uploader. You can use it to upload your photos to the WeLoveBC.ca gallery. The photo uploader allows you to upload up to 15 photos at a time.

You may also use the "Upload Now" button on the gallery main page to upload your photo.

Yes, each account has a 99 photo upload limit.

You can upload photos up to 5MB in size. WeLoveBC.ca supports JPEGs only at this time. We do not keep photos in their original sizes. All photos will be resized to 800 pixels on width and this resized copy will be used to generate the following:

- 65x65 pixels thumbnail
- 300 pixels on height for display on the Gallery main page
- 500 pixels on width for display on the individual photo profile page

We resize your photos to more web-friendly dimensions. Each image has a 65x65 pixel thumbnail and a 800 pixels on width version. To conserve storage space, we do not keep the original file.

No, we do not offer any photo commenting function at this time.

Yes you can. But be warned, it is permanent.

If you want to delete a photo from your account, simple click on the "x" icon next to the photo in your Photo Manager.

Yes, a "WeLoveBC.ca" watermark will be applied to all photos displayed on the WeLoveBC.ca photo gallery.

To enter a photo into the Celebrate BC150 Contest, simply check on the "Submit as Contest Entry" checkbox in your Photo Manager and our system will record your selection. Please note that while you are only allowed one entry in the contest, you have until October 7 to submit your entry.

Our system will lock all selections on October 7, 2008. So until then, you are free to change your entry selection in your Photo Manager as you wish.

All contest entries will be posted on our website on October 7, 2008. You will find the Vote function under each photo. The contest uses the "vote for your favorite photo" logic, so all you need to do is browse the collection of entries and vote for your favorite photos. You are allowed to vote for more than one photo at a time, however, only one vote per photo will be allowed.

Yes, we will randomly pre-screen photos. After you have uploaded your photos, it will be sent to our main photo bin. Photos are added to our WeLoveBC.ca website in batches and we may do random pre-screening prior to adding the photos to our website.

No, there is no limit to the number of categories you can assign to your photo.

Yes, you can change your screen name as much as you like. You will find the function in the User Profile Manager in the Member Area.

If you have forgotten your password, you can use the "Forgot Password" function found underneath the sign-in panel.

We have created a Report Abuse email account for you to give us feedback if you come across something or someone on WeLoveBC.ca that is causing you concern.

When you send us your report, we need as much detail as you can give us, ie. links to the photos. We will review again the Terms of Service and take appropriate action as required.
